Five Tips to Avoid Being Tied Up by a Fixed 3D Visualisation Deadline.
Over the past decade I have produced many 3D visualisation images for the property sector. With many of the jobs I found myself coming up against tight deadlines and each time thinking about how I carried out the project. I re-evaluated and came up with a few ways to save time. This list below is some of the handy tips I came up with to help create a 3D visualisation in little time.
1. To begin with have a discussion with your client about the 2D drawings. Bring up any areas which you think might cause a problem. It\’ll also give your client the chance to talk over any parts of the drawing they think will need a bit more attention. Get the client to confirm the plans when they are finalised, this way you can begin work knowing there will be no changes throughout the project.
2. In order to complete a 3D visualisation project which has a tight deadline you should keep the lines of communication open at all time with the client. This means sending emails with work in progress images, if the client spots a problem with the model at the earliest stage it should not have an adverse effect to meeting the deadline. As well as sending emails a follow up telephone call is a good idea as emails sometimes don\’t go through straight away or the clients not at a computer. If the deadline\’s tight then every minute is valuable.
3. When you have completed the modeling stage of the project send the image to the client for review. The client can give you feed back on the model and any final changes can be done before you being the material process.
4. When adding materials to the 3D visualisation image it is good practice to speak to the client at the beginning of the project to gather up as many examples of the materials the client wants to use. If you have a material gallery then send this to the client so that no time is wasted towards the end of the project trying to produce the right material.
5. If a 3D visualisation image is needed by the client in a short space of time it\’s a good idea to talk this over with the client explaining if you work together then the target is achievable. It is important to emphasise this point as it is a team effort when creating 3D visualisation images.
