Make sure that you choose a quiet place for this training, so as not to distract your dog\’s attention. Ask the dog to sit again and again while you hold the treat over his head. Thus, he will have to turn his head up, and will sit there willingly to get the treat.

The second thing you need to teach your dog is to make him \’stay\’ at a place without giving him the directions. This half might take a bit of time and patience.

You need to start with simple method of falling back maintaining eye contact with your dog and telling him to \’stay\’ where he is and instruct him with a \’no\’ when he gets up. If this doesn\’t work then it is better to have someone holding him up from back and tell him to sit. This can be a time consuming session.

If he has learnt this part, try walking away with your back towards the dog. He will probably rise now to follow you. Tell him \”no\” and repeat the process asking him to stay in his position as you move away.

After teaching him to sit and stay, you need to call him cheerfully using the word \’come\’ and reward him with a treat when he comes to you.

The most important key to dog training is that positive behavior will make him install these instructions in your dog while negative behavior may make him annoyed.
