How should I Train my Dog?

Having a connection with your pet is helpful in the training process. There are a lot of varieties or breeds of dog out there that differ, some more difficult than others to train. Every owner must consider the reality that taming your dog and training it properly comes with the territory.

A dog with a good behavior is a dog that can easily be trained. The better it behaves, the easier it is for you to teach it commands. Your dog will be more interested and take less toil on your time and patience. To develop its behavior better, use the \”no\” command on it as early as possible. \”No\” commands are simply a way of ironing out any serious habits that your dog is developing by completely discouraging the behavior entirely.

It is important to note when training your dog, that canines are territorial animals. They must make up their mind of who is the master – you or it. Establish as early as possible, that you are the dominant creature; you are the leader of the pack. Your dog should understand that you have rules and they are followed, but be careful to not overdo it. You don\’t want a scared dog, right?

Before dogs could be trained, they were undomesticated animals that roamed the wild; but since we are now living in modern society, that is no longer applicable to strictly dogs. Canines still have a pack mentality – which means they follow a hierarchy of follower and leader. They must know their place for them to function properly. If you want to train your dog, it must first recognize that you are its master.

Training a dog is can be both easy and hard; depending on your bond with the dog and the patience you\’re willing to invest to train it properly. Perhaps an effective command to have it understand is the word \”No\”, though not exactly a command, it helps iron out the pet\’s bad behaviors. If the dog likes drinking the toilet, drag him out gently until it calms down and say \”no\”. Once it recognizes that what it\’s doing is a wrong action, it will avoid doing it before it becomes a serious habit.
