This really is my idea of a possible location for a first date. When I take a woman out for the very first time I normally take her out for a couple of drinks first at a bar. After about one hour I would then take her to the movies. After the film, I'd then take her to a nice restaurant.

There's a reason for this madness! Firstly it is not really appropriate to go straight to the movies without a bit of conversation first. As this is the very first date, there is a good chance that the conversation could go a little stale after one hour; hence it's time for the movies.

Through the film you will have lots of time to think of lots more interesting subjects to discuss. Even if you are unable to, you can always talk about the film once you return to the bar.

If on the second date, you begin running out of things to talk about, you can always mention how wonderful or bad the film was.

When you're talking while having a couple of drinks, make a point of spending more time discussing your date rather than yourself. Show a big interest in what they have to say even if you find it boring. Laugh at their jokes even if they're not funny, you get the idea!

-Be truthful

When talking about yourself it is a superb idea to tell the truth if you want the relationship to last. As time goes by your companion will find out a lot more about you and if they realize that you've lied, they may then find it hard to believe and trust you in the future.

What's a relationship without trust and honesty? Answer, dead.

-Always smile

There is absolutely nothing worse than going on a date with a person who's constantly moaning about things. Be happy, be bright, always smile and talk in a positive rather than negative way.
